MP&F Strategic Communications

I spent the summer after my junior year as an intern at MP&F Strategic Communications in Nashville. Spending the summer at the largest independent agency in the Southeast gave me a unique perspective towards a booming city while helping me learn more about the evolving communications industry.

MP&F gave me the opportunity to work on client teams in areas like health care, technology, and more. This broad exposure paired well with the range of support I provided with social media, media relations, quantitative research, strategy, and more. My internship empowered me to embrace flexibility and discomfort in the workplace to build my skills.

My contributions during the summer pushed my writing and strategic thinking skills in a tangible ways. Stories I pitched to media ended up in the Nashville Business Journal, WSMV, and more. MP&F’s size allowed me to work with team members across the organization, allowing me to actively participate in client meetings and engage with stakeholders directly.

My time at an agency intimately involved in Nashville’s future helped to fuel my passion for cities. I worked on one of the agency’s many local, pro bono clients, wrote a post on the company blog about the city’s growth, and attended a conference hosted by the agency featuring public transit leaders from cities across the nation.
